Bored

I'm so bored. Give me a job please. I'm such a sad pathetic unemployed poor soul.

Yeap that sums up everything about my life right now.

Oh letter, why are you not here yet?? I had enough of playing and enjoying myself. My money is depleting day by day. I need income! I need to work. I need a job. Please come soon before I die of boredom kay?

I feel like I'm wasting my life at home. Doing nothing. Just lazing around. I know I wanted this before, but I guess its been too long??! Its enough kay, I need to start work now. If not, I think my brain will go rusty and I wouldn't know a single shit about pharmacy, drugs, ADR etc etc.

My daily routine: Wake up at 11.30am, laze around in bed till 12. Brunch. Read the newspaper as slowly as I possibly can to kill some time. Facebook, Instagram, Groupon, Livingsocial, Blogs. Go back to bed. Wake again and find snacks. Surf the net. Back to bed. Dinner. Surf net. Back to bed. (And the cycle repeats the next day)

Hell yeah I think I'm gonna die if this continues. I feel like a useless person okay!!

Gonna spam this post with FOOD pictures, during our usual date nights on Fridays

Date Night 1: My Elephant Thai

My now favorite Thai restaurant. And now its newest outlet is in Subang!! Double like!!

*Pandan Cooler with weird tadpoles-lookalike*

*Panang Gai- Thai styled semi dry curry with chicken and lychee*
It may sound weird but I super love the combination of lychee with curry. Spicy and sweet!!

*Eggplants stirred fry with minced chicken*
Just because we both love eggplants :P

*Our meal for two :)*

Am always looking forward to our friday date nights :)

*Ending our meal with the most awesome mango sticky rice!!!*
I swear to god its as good as the ones you can get in Bangkok!!
Yummmmmmmyy!!!!

Date Night 2: Ben & Nick

*Smoked duck with Apple Jelly Sauce*

*Cajun Chicken*

*And our dessert- Apple Crumble*
Was kind of disappointed with this cause it was just not up to my standards. The apple was a little too sour. I'd eaten way better ones before.

Date night 3: Chicago Rib House

*Pork Ribs with Beer Battered Fries*

Bought a groupon for half-priced and dinner was my treat cause I bought the Groupon haha! :D

************************************

The bf recently diagnosed me with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). He says I'm totally hyperactive and attention seeking. I say its due to the boredom that I'd been experiencing for the past 3 months.

His proof:

1) I am the type who cant sit still at home and do nothing. When he needs to work at home, I'll be there disturbing him, complaining that I'm bored, asking lots of questions until I get tired. Then I will go sleep and if I wake before he does, I will start to disturb him from his sleep, don't let him sleep, tell him I'm bored and ask him to bring me out. LOL

2) When he brought me to his office one night after dinner to complete his leftover work, I sat beside him and started asking him questions non stop. I mean I was just curious.

Questions like 'What you doing? Why you doing that? Who sits beside you? Why your colleague got two monitors? Why she don't want to throw away her old monitor? Why your table so empty? Why your colleague's table so many photos? Where you plug in your laptop? Why you need to do this?' etc etc.

Lol I didnt realize I was asking too many questions till he said 'you know you're like my colleague's 5 year old kid asking questions non stop since you sat here?'
And that was the point when I realized, so I just sat there and kept quiet because I think he's getting annoyed.

Haha so yeah he diagnosed me with ADHD because I am super freaking hyper. I cant just sit home and do nothing and thats why I think I'm going crazy because I've been sitting home doing nothing for the past few months!!!!!!!

And the kesian bf has to do whatever it takes to entertain me.

His new favorite sentence when I gets super demanding:
' Ladies and Gentlemen *pause* *does drumroll sound effect*  MY QUEEN *points at me*

Lol lol he's so funny la!!

*************************************

My convocation is just around the corner and I'm so excited.
Shoes- checked
Dress- will be ready in a week time
Makeup- must find one soon!!

And most importantly, I got a DSLR for that day!! Hehe thank you so much Rick!! For being so kind to borrow me your DSLR on one of my most important day of my life! I will forever be grateful and forever remember your kindness!!

The bf's friends can be trolls almost all the time but when I really need them, they are always super nice to me!!

I will always remember the time when I was in Melbourne and I had problems with my modem setup and CX was always willing to help me with me sharing my screen to him and him trying to find out the problem. I think I bugged him almost 5 times before the problem was settled. Haha

The time when I didn't had any good camera, before I bought my baby, and Rick borrowed me his DSLR when I went to Sydney for 10 days and You Yean borrowed me his DSLR when I went to Cameron just cause I felt like playing with one.

The time when I had to do some stupid management/finance assignment and I had not a single clue on how to do it and Rick sacrifice his weekend time, sat with me in Starbucks for 2 whole hours to help me with my assignment, and totally did MOST of the work for me. And me getting an 8/10 for that assignment. I owed it all to him!!

You see, they are such nice people ok!! I've grown to love them as MY friends, and not as the 'bf's friends' anymore :)

Ok this is one weird jumbled up post because I am bored.

Next post will be on graduation in 2 weeks time (unless something interesting happens before that)!! The day is coming soon! I'm super proud of myself because I managed to get to where I am today with all my hard work!! Can't wait to hold that degree certification in my hands and also start my career as a pharmacist!! :) I promise to strive for the best in whatever I do :)

Penang 'graduation' trip

It was a random trip to Penang with a bunch of my Monash classmates. Had everything planned out and booked in 2 weeks and we decided to call it our 'mini graduation trip' since we didn't had any. Just the 4 of us, Amie, KerMin, Elaine and me.

And also the Monash Engineering guys decided to join us when they heard we were going and when I told them the flight tickets were cheapppp, like rm39 for one way. Lol at first I thought they were joking about going  until they booked their air tickets two days before they were supposed to fly!!
My reaction was 'you all serious ah?O.O'
HAHA but yeah it was fun bumping into them around Penang :)

This bunch of Monash Engineering guys made my days in uni much more interesting and happening. I couldn't imagine uni life without them :) Who's gonna bring me out for lunches? Who's gonna drive me around all the time? Who's gonna bring me out for drinks on random nights? I'm seriously thankful for meeting these bunch of guys. Would probably die of boredom in uni without them hahaha

Anyway back to Penang. It was a 3 days 2 nights trip. We took a flight there, by Malindo Air from Subang airport. It was cheap plus no one wanted to drive all the way to Penang. Touched down at Penang International Airport at 11.30am and our rented car was already waiting for us at the arrival gate. We rented a small Kancil for rm60/day. Super cheap ok!! In total I think we paid rm50 per person for the car and petrol for the whole 3 days.

Got our car and headed to Georgetown to check into our hotel, Armenian Street Heritage Hotel. The hotel was really new, I think less than a year old, so it was clean and good! Paid rm140 per person for 2 nights. I seriously don't mind paying for good hotels cause all I want to do when I'm back from a tiring day of traveling is to go back to the hotel, have a long bath and laze on the bed, so a good clean hotel is always a must for me!!

*Our hotel. Took 2 double room because we girls didn't want to fight for one toilet haha*

DAY 1

Lunch after dropping our bags at the hotel
Restaurant: Hot Bowl White Curry Mee @ Lorong Abu Siti, Georgetown

 *Penang White Curry Mee*

Boneless steamed chicken- Was damn damn good that we went back on the last day to have it again

After lunch, we were all feeling so hot and thirsty so we decided to chill at a cafe and enjoy iced coffee.

 Restaurant: Cafe 55.
Famous for their 3D coffee art but the weather was too hot for hot coffee

*Ordered my favorite new drink- caramel latte*

*Enjoying our iced coffee. Hehe I kind of 'recruited' Elaine into our gang because our gang was getting smaller and smaller hahaa*

*Love the antique feel of this cafe!*

*The ancient looking streets. Plenty of this kinda old shoplots in Penang!!*

Headed back to the hotel to bath and got ready for our next destination, Batu Ferringhi Beach to watch the sunset.

*Sneaked into the beach of Hard Rock Hotel*
It was quite obvious cause we were the only ones holding handbags at the beach. Should have left our bags in the car haha

*Our artist at work!*

*Making our mark at Ferringhi Beach :)*

*Parasailing at the beach. I miss this soooo much!! Wanted to go for it but it was super expensive and so I decided that it was not worth and also because this parasailing wasn't as high up as the one I did in Bali*

*After waiting for what seems like hours, the sun started to set!*
So pretty! Now we know the sun sets at 7.30pm haha.

*I'm definitely a sunset person :)*

*Especially loved it when the sky starts turning purple!*

*Dinner after the sunset at a beach restaurant, Bora Bora*

*Reminds me of Bali! I wanna go back there! :(*

*Super romantic environment!*
The only annoying thing was the existence of thousands of mosquitoes! And I forgot to bring my mosquito repellant here!

*Food was just okay. Nothing that will make me remember, but definitely worth coming for the environment :)*

Called it a night after that and headed back to our hotel. Ended the night gossiping in bed with the girls until 2 am. By that time, I was already half asleep :P

DAY 2

Woke up at 8am to have breakfast.

*Blurred picture of us in the hawker centre*
Photo was taken by the uncle owner of this hawker centre. He kept trying to make conversations with us which was kind of annoying after awhile because he wouldn't stop asking questions!! He insisted on helping us take this picture too.

Restaurant Kheng Pin.
Their famous loh bak. It wasn't as good as it used to be. Hmm

*White coffee. It was good!!*

*Porridge*
Damn damn good too!!

*And our first plate of Char Kuey Teow!*

All the food was shared among us 4. Haha good to travel with girls cause we get to order everything in small portions and try everything.

Headed back to the hotel after that to makeup because it was gonna be a whole day of pictures taking! The best part about our hotel is the location! Like super good location, everything is not more than 1km away from our hotel. And because we had a car, it was a breeze traveling around Penang and we get to go back to our hotel anytime we wanted to.

*Girls just being girls* :D

And the hunt for Penang Street Art began! It was a super hot day, and we decided to walk around to find the street art because it would be a hassle trying to find a parking everytime we locate a street art.

*The most famous street art in Penang*

*Lunch Break*
Restaurant Joo Hooi for Assam Laksa

*Accompanied by the famous Penang Chendol!*

Continued our street art hunting after that.

*Stopped by the Camera Museum that we coincidentally stumbled upon*

*Who says I can't play basketball? :P*

We were super exhausted after all the walking around town and hunting for the street arts. And also super sweaty and sticky and smelly, so all of us decided to go back to the hotel to just chill and enjoy the aircond and bathe before our next destination!! The sun was crazy hot that day!!!

By that time, the guys were already in Penang and so I asked them if they wanted to follow us to our next destination which was to Jalan Siam to eat my most missed Char Kuey Teow, and in my opinion, the BEST I've ever ate!! They said 'nope not following'.

And so we went there by ourselves after delaying for like 30minutes from our schedule, and to our surprise, we saw them already siting and waiting for their CKT. -.- Seriously jokers weih they all. Stalkers!!

*This is the old uncle who sells CKT at the junction of Jalan Siam*

*My plate of awesome goodness!!! Brought me straight to heaven man!!*

It was a rushed meal because we wanted to rush over to Penang Hill to catch the sunset. And after we were done eating, I asked the guys again 'do you want to follow us to Penang Hill?' Their answer was the same, no.

Making our way to Penang Hill during the rush hour was crazy!!It was so sooo jam but we made it anyhow :)

*Took the train up to the top of Penang Hill*

Sadly, there was no sunset that day. It was a really cloudy day so I guess the sun was blocked by the clouds. We were all soooo sad and disappointed so we decided in order to not waste our money, we would just stay up longer and just enjoy the cool chilly air.

All of us were sitting on the chair and gossiping, when suddenly I saw the guys walking down the hill. WTF wei. I was like -.- and *speechlees*. They came to us wanting to scare us but obviously we saw them before they managed to. And my first sentence was 'why you keep stalking me and following me???? Ask you all to come, you say dont want then suddenly just appear here.'

*He insisted on taking a selfie with us cause we 'met' so far away in another state*
Lol seriously damn funny weih. We just kept bumping into him wherever we went!!

*Addition of another two classmates, one from Taiping and the other from Penang!*

*The night view was sooooo pretty!!!* I love lights!!

Headed over to Gurney Drive Hawker Centre for dinner. And as usual I asked if the guys wanna join. 3rd time!!! And they said no la we wanna go to Pulau Tikus.

And I was saying to my friends, 'you see la, later sure see them at Gurney one. Lets just tell them we are going to Gurney but we don't go and see what happens'.

But ofcourse I wasn't that bad la haha. And true enough, they were at Gurney Drive at the same hawker centre too. LOL

*Didn't relly like this place. I ate nothing that night cause nothing caught my attention*

*Took a long stroll to the new shopping mall, Gurney Paragon*

And a longer stroll back to our car. Came back feeling super exhausted and there were no gossiping that night. All of us died on the bed straight!

DAY 3

Our last day. Had a late check out at 11am.

*OOTD*

We headed out to have the same white curry mee and boneless chicken!!

Next stop was drinking coffee at a cafe. Googled and found that China House cafe has good coffee and cakes and also very nice courtyard at the back so since we had nothing to do while waiting for our flight at 4pm, we decided to chill and relax at this cafe till it was time to go to the airport.

*They have a super large selection of cakes and other desserts!*

*Ordered 2 cakes to share*
*Tiramisu cake*
*And I forgot what cake this is*
But I remember both cakes being super nice!! Wanted to have more but we were running short of time!

*My special iced coffee with milo*

*Haha dont ask me where we found that 'WIN' sign :P*

*Courtyard at the back with a small pond*
Super love the environment. Would definitely have sat outside if the sun wasn't so hot!!

*They have this cool reading area in the cafe too*

*Our two last group pictures before bidding farewell to the other two girls*

And we rushed all the way to the airport thinking we were late but we had extra time and extra petrol because we pumped a little too much thinking that we would be using quite alot. So we decided to use off all the petrol by going around the residential area near the airport looking at beautiful houses!

Boarded the plane at 4pm and that was the end of our trip.

Overall, it was a super relaxing and good trip with the girlfriends eventhough I had my 'pissed off' moments. And it was also my first trip without the bf. I think I prefer trips alone with just the girlfriends because I get to spend more time with them, rather than worrying whether my bf will be lonely or not. Haha maybe in the future, there won't be anymore combined trips of friends and bf.It will be either with the friends OR the bf alone.

Thats all for now.
