Hehe took me soooo long to finally start writing on my Cameron post, I know. But at least I am here now right :P
So how did our cameron trip came about?
One day I was telling Hou that I wanted to go somewhere after I am done with clinicals, to reward myself, to relax, to just chill and destress, and because we have our Melbourne trip coming up, we didnt want to spend too much on this trip.
And thus, after much consideration, we decided on Cameron! Since both of us have not been there for the past 3 years? And I was dying to 'yumcha' at the Boh Tea plantation. Yeah I know, weird cravings I have right lol.
So we planned 2 weeks ahead, book our hotel and we were all set.
It was just a super duper short trip, 2 days 1 night.
We 'jio-ed' another of my colleague and her bf, and it became a double date trip. Haha its been too long since we did this double date thingy lor.
On Saturday morning, we woke up at 10am, washed up and started our journey. Drove 2 separate cars up because we wanted to have our freedom of going anywhere we wanted to go at anytime, without needing to wait for the other couple. Haha and also cause we were planning to come back down way later than them.

My friend left like 30 minutes before we left and darling caught up with them on the way up. Lol shows how fast Hou drives, or maybe how slow her bf drives hahahahaha.
But yeah at last we reached up way way earlier compared to them and we had time to even go to our hotel to check whether our room was ready before driving to our first destination to meet them for tea, which was none other than the famous Smokehouse for scones.
YUMS MAN. Loved their strawberry jam so so much, plus the environment too!! My type of yumcha seriously! Could sit there the whole damn day just sipping on tea and enjoying the cool weather hehe.

Left after we were done and we headed to the hotel to check on our room but it wasnt ready yet!! Urghhhh so annoyed, was damn late d lo.
So we decided to have lunch at Kampung Raja since it was already lunch time and the scones was not filling at all hahha.
Parked one car at the hotel and drove one car down to Kampung Raja only, which Hou drove obviously and my friend was screaming like crazy in the car just because she wasn't used to his 'fast' driving -.-
Calm down la, he is a expert driver la haha. I'm so used to it already, fully trust him lol.
Wanted to have lunch at Ngau Kee restaurant, which was the place we tried 3 years ago, and the food was so awesome that my only reason to come back to Cameron was for this restaurant and also for the boh tea.
So when I found out it was CLOSED, I WAS MAD. SO MAD I WANTED TO DRIVE BACK TO IPOH.
Lol ok but obviously we didn't . No choice so we had to eat at the ONLY restaurant which was open at that area. Because so coincident that day was the 'zhong' festival, so yeah all the other chinese restaurants were closed.

Will definitely be back to eat Ngau Kee again before I leave Ipoh for good.
Done with lunch and on the way back up, we stopped by the famous Lavender farm! To see lavenders and to eat lavender ice cream haha.

Hehe we spent quite some time at this lavender farm because there were so many things to do and see.
And most of the pictures taken during this trip is in that farm only. Because after that, I was too lazy to take out my camera lol.
Finally done and headed back to our hotel and got our rooms.
Stayed at Copthorne Hotel (previously known as Equatorial Hotel).
Room was just alright I guess. Didn't expect much since less expectations, less disappointment right.
Our stay previously at the Strawberry Park was definitely wayyy better. Haha but yeala price also very nice lol. We going budget ma, so need to cheap cheap abit :P
Bought breakfast together with the room. Yeap as usual, Hou and his cravings for breakfast.
Yeap, still have no clue why he likes breakfast so much when he is not a morning person -.-
So easy to satisfy him, just get him buffet breakfast and its done LOL.
We were all exhausted and so the next thing to do was sleep. Hehe slept for an hour and then got up, bath and headed out for dinner! Because we had a dinner reservation at 7.30pm.

Introducing, the BEST steamboat I've ever eaten in my whole entire life, I kid you not.
I am not exaggerating I swear!!
The queue was OMG HORRIBLE. We had a reservation but still had to wait for 30 minutes before getting our table because it was seriously FULL HOUSE!! Even the corridor where they kept adding tables were all full.
Stood out in the cold, watching people enjoying their hot steamboat food, while our tummy was grumbling, pure torture. T.T

And finally, we had a table OMG. Was starving like mad and was cold like mad!!!
Ordered 4 sets of pork and chicken.
YUMS LIKE MAD OMG I AM ALREADY SALIVATING LOOKING AT THIS PICTURE.
Look at how fresh all their veges are!!! Seriously so so soooo fresh, and they claimed its all organic.
And to add points to their already fresh food, their chili sauce was fking awesome. Like seriously. I am a person who eats chili like no ones business, so as long as the chili sauce is good, everything else is good.
Thumbs up. Win hands down. Best steamboat ever FULL STOP.
It totally gave me that OOMPH feeling man. And one sip of their soup, and I was like wtfbbq how can their soup taste so good. So sweet and so much of taste, duno how to describe also.
Haha will definitely drive all the way up to Cameron just to have this steamboat AND my Ngau Kee.
So I guess a trip again soon dear? :P
It was a super long dinner, knowing me and how I love to enjoy my food long and slow haha. When we were done, it was damn late d, probably 10.30pm, considered late la for Cameron people ma. They sleep early one ma.
Wanted to jalan jalan at pasar malam but too bad most of the gerais were already closed. But I managed to buy honey for my mum and strawberries for myself and some snacks which we tapao-ed back to the hotel to eat later on.
Went back to the hotel, and they came over to our room and we had a mini Uno card session plus makan snacks. It was sooooo fun and funny la. Who knew a simple game like Uno could be so funny?! Laughed like mad and I was the winner of the night, totally own that game WAHAHA.

Called it a night at 12.30am, and they left back to their room, while me and Hou watched tv until we felt sleepy.
Slept and suddenly in the middle of the night around 3am, I had this weird feeling in my throat, the feeling like I wanted to throw up.
Thought I was dreaming, because it was impossible that I suddenly feel like vomiting right, for no reason. So I just lay up in bed and tried to control that feeling.
Next thing I knew, I was running to the toilet bowl and throwing up.
Yeah I even thought to myself
'huh that cider can make me so drunk until i throw up meh. Impossible lo, I where got so cha. Sumore its not like I puke right after drinking, it was like 3 hours later already.'
Puked 3 times before I finally felt better, then I went back to bed to try to sleep. And in less than 30 minutes, I was back at the toilet again. My god seriously, this time, it was coming out from the back- lol meaning diarrhea la.
Food poisoning FML. Seriously, I never had food poisoning so bad before till I had to puke. All these while, if I eat something wrong, most also diarrhea 2-3 times then it will be clear. But this time was the worst man.
Totally spent the whole night in the toilet. Puking and diarrhea-ing LOL, Coming out both ways la. At one time, I had to sit at the toilet bowl while holding the dustbin in my hands. So sanfu T.T
Only slept for like 2 hours that night? The next morning, I felt better already. Still diarrhea-ing but at least no more vomiting.
Went down for breakfast and ate super little because I was so scared already. No one else kena lo, everyone ate the same thing. Everything that I ate, they also ate. Probably only that certain part was dirty which I unfortunately ate, sigh. Stupid bacteria go die.
After breakfast, we went back up to the room, and I slept like a baby. Because I didnt have any sleep the night before. Slept until 12 noon and dear woke me up because we were supposed to check out at 1pm.
Checked out at 1 pm and we left our separate ways. My friend and her bf was going back down while me and Hou went to the pasar pagi outside our hotel to buy some food and later, went to the Boh Tea Plantation for yumcha!! :D

Bought like 3 cups wahahaha. Totally regret not eating more the day before :(

Went to their cafe, overlooking the famous plantation and ordered a coconut tart and a cup of hot tea.
We were lucky to be able to get a nice place, just beside the balcony, overlooking the plantation.
Sat there and just enjoyed my afternoon tea, for a really long time :) Thanks Hou, for always teman-ing me sit for so long even if it bored you to death.
Loving me includes loving every weird habit I have right? :D

After about 1.5 hours, i finally got bored and we decided to leave. Haha both of us havent had lunch but we didn't know what to eat so we decided to just not eat lunch and drive back down to Ipoh 1st.
Reached back in an hour! Fast journey hehe. And we were both starving like mad and we had a random idea to have KFC.
Yeap no surprises there. me and my kfc. Cant get enough of kfc la lol. I literally craved for it every single day but I have to suppress my cravings because its so unhealthy!! Haha
Had kfc for lunch/dinner and then Hou send me back home and he left back to KL straightaway. So sad that he couldn't stay for the night *sob sob* So not used to him going back on Sunday because he usually leaves back home on Monday morning lo T.T
Ended my lonely night with some drama and videos and I was off to bed.
So that sums up our short 2 days 1 night trip to Cameron.
Lol and I am so excited to say this:
See you in one week time, Melbourne!!!!!!! :D Flying off next week. Omg the day is getting nearer and nearer!!!!!
Will be in Melbourne for approximately 2 weeks.
So won't be back to up update so fast.
