a little update bout my life

been here for 5.5 weeks now. proud to say that ive been living quite well, adapting quite alright to the life here. except for the fact that its a little too quiet for my liking. its alot for me to type out so lets just let the photos do the talking...

1. One of the views i love most. sunset from the plane (nope, this is not from my trip to nz, it was from my guangzhou trip last year =p)

2. Views around Dunedin, trust me when i say that the photos here shows almost the whole place here.. i see flowers around so i hope spring is coming soon
3. my first time seeing fresh snow. haha
4. officially a part of dental association of New Zealand
5. blue ugly tunic that i have to wear 4 times a week -.- in clinic and lab
6. Octagon, the city centre and its the most happening place.
7. Me attempting to take a self shot of my face and that building at the back. i know im damn failed cus i duno what building is it. city council maybe? haha...
8. St Clare beach. a beach too cold n rough to play in
9. Sunset and the moon. i swear its much prettier in real. i cant help myself but to stare at it nonstop. practically the whole way. from me walking out from dental school till i reach home.
10. my small and humble room. way neater than my room back home =p
11. dinner cooked by us, the girls
12. dinner cooked by the guys
13. dinner for tsen yi's bday. i helped to marinate n bake the chicken, plus the potato salad. proud of myself! lol
14. Rob Roy's ice cream. our favourite dessert here. its cheap and the portion's so big. i think i was mad that night. it was 9 degrees, i was walking in a t shirt and thin windbreaker only and i bought ice cream
15. Cookie time. look at the size of it wth super fattening that explains how i gain weight here. not to mention the number of snacks i have here. but its freaking yummy!!!
16. Live at New Zealand's got talent
17. Spoiled my bag. super emo k. genuine leather + limited edition from disneyland + i used it for 6 months only T.T
18. Sausage sizzle sale at 11.30pm. It was such a cold night. but it was fun. selling sausages by the road + observing all the drunk people. it amazes me that they can just wear a thin layer of short dress during cold winter night while i was wrapped up in 3 layers.
19. Bakeeeeeeeeee. i bake so often here. average of once a week. it was red velvet cake for Andrew's bday, then cheesecake for Tsen Yi's bday, then red velvet cupcakes for bake sale, then butter cake cus i was craving for it... and pancake..

i also gave up on steaming chicken cus it takes like 3o mins to cook so i started baking it instead. but wth every single time i touch the oven i will burn myself. so i burned myself like 3 times in 7 days. maybe i should just stop cooking n baking -.-

20. gym! my 3rd home. 1st is my house, 2nd is dental school and 3rd is the gym.

21. food that i really really miss..... and i want it NOWWW

22. this is how i 'work'.. cus its too cold and i cant stand sitting on the study table. i wonder when will i get used to the weather
22. photo of myself proving that im surviving well in this country. im sure its pretty obvious judging by my chubby face and the obvious weight gain.

a gentle reminder to myself. i MUST stop shopping. each time i enter the city (when i say city i meant that ONE street for ppl to shop) i end up buying something. so far i bought like 10 clothes, 2 leggings and a pair of heels already. and i complain that i dont have enough money to use. of course right..

and now its time for to sleep. nightsss

A pleasant surprise

Was greeted with this bouquet when I touched down at KLIA yesterday night <3 Thanks darling :)

And yes people, I'm home!!! :DD

Eventhough there was a slight delay, where I was stuck at Changi Airport for about 1.5 hours because my flight from Melbourne got delayed so I landed 30minutes later than the time I was supposed to arrive at Changi, thus missing my connecting flight back to KL.

But I was given top service by SIA staff, who was already waiting for me when my plane landed at Changi to apologize to me and told me that they would put me on the next flight home, plus gave me free dinner, free phone card to call home, and fetched me around inside the airport so that I wouldn't have to walk and carry my heavy hand luggage.

Good Job, SIA! Will definitely be traveling with you again :D

Now, I'm damn freaking lazy to unpack my bag la.. Ishhhh :(

And I miss the cold weather in Melbourne. What kind of country is this??? Why so HOT wan??!!!

My best sem so far

Today will be my last day in Melbourne. My last night in this apartment. Having mixed feelings right now. The same feeling I had when I first left Malaysia and came here 5 months ago. Time really flew by just like that.

This would be my best sem so far. My results this sem was the best out of all the semesters and I'm glad I did not waste my parent's money and disappoint them. I'm glad they gave me the chance to experience the life here in Melbourne, even though they had to pay a huge sum of money for this 5 months.

I remembered 5months ago, when I first landed on Melbourne, I was all alone in this foreign country, not knowing what to expect. I was scared. I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. I was homesick ( haha but only for 1 week), I just wanted to leave this place and go home.

But now, its totally different. 5months changed my life. I became much much more independent, learning to do everything by myself, learning that no one will help you except your ownself and learning to stand on my own two feet.

Melbourne feels like home now :( The familiar Swanston Street, so familiar that I can almost remember every single shop along this street. The amount of times I'd walked up and down this street. I'm so gonna miss this place. Bye Melbourne. I will be back, I promise :)

For now, back to reality. Back to usj4 :( Back to being afraid that someone is gonna snatch my bag, or rob me, or slash me, or kidnap me. Sigh.....

I can say that I'm leaving Melbourne with NO REGRETS. I've done everything I wanted to do, visited all the places that I wanted to visit, ate all the food that i wanted to try.

I think I've ate, and visited MORE places than most people who had already stayed here for 3 years. Haha. Sydney, Gold Coast, all in 5 months.

Tried conquering the top 10 most talked about restaurants in Melbourne but I only succeeded in conquering 7 of them, due to lack of time! But its okay. At least I tried all the most awesome breakfast/brunch places and also tried almost all the famous coffee in Melbourne. Naming a few, St Ali, Seven Seed, Brother Baba Budan, Hardware Societe, Chez Dre... Too many that I can't even remember :P

Now I'm looking forward to flying back home, and first person I will be seeing at the airport would be the bf :D Hehe I kind of told my parents not to fetch me so that darling could come pick me up hahaha :P I will seeing them all at home after that anyway.

And and I found the kindest guy in the world, who is so nice, that he offered to wake up at 6am tomorrow morning, just to walk over to my place, and help me pull my fat ass heavy luggage into the cab. I did not ask him to help, he just asked me what time I will be leaving tomorrow and straight away offered to come over to send me off. Awwww I was so touched!! Even after telling him that he gotta wake up early to send me off, he still said its ok :) Hehe thanks so much! I will always remember you and your kindness!! :)

So everything is settled for now. Called the cab to pick me up tomorrow and I will be heading home :)

Bye Melbourne, and Hello soon Malaysia! :)

Missing you :(

The worst feeling ever is to get separated from Hou again after meeting him for 10 whole days straight, from morning to night, 24 hours a day. Sydney was like 'a dream came true', he said. It was like living in a dream. 10 days just passed in a blink of an eye.

How I wished he would have flew to Melbourne with me and spend a couple more days here :( I know its only 12 more days, but after 5 months of not meeting each other, then spending 10 days together, and getting separated again, its really not a nice feeling.

You're the only reason why I'm looking forward to be back home <3

Sydney pictures are not with me. Its all in the DSLR with Hou. And yea we took awesome pictures. 1000 pictures in 10 days. Hahahaa :P Thanks to the super SS me, plus I had 3 'photographers' following me everywhere I go ;P

And I took 5 months to lose 1 kg, and only 10 days in Sydney to gain back 2 kg. FML like seriously man!!!! Been eating so much every single day in Sydney! Plus I got pampered so much cause dear took me to eat all the food that I wanted to try. Chat Thai, Hurricanes Grill, Pancakes on the Rocks, Jamie's Italian, The little Snail, Adriana Zumbo, Gelato Messina, Buffet at Star City Casino, Sydney Madang. How to not get fat la right!!!!

And we went to the casino almost every single day. Haha won and lost some, but overall we won okay :P My first time experience of walking 1 whole hour back to our hotel from the casino at 1 am at night because we all got carried away at the casino so there were no more trains, buses. It was fun!!! 7 of us in a gang holding our phones as GPS and maps trying to find our way back. Running across empty roads, walking around in circles. Eventhough it was an hour walk home, and my legs were gonna break, but it was fun! Should do more crazy stuffs like these!

Tomorrow, friends from Malaysia coming over to spend 8 days in Melbourne and will be staying in my place, so I gotta be the tour guide for the coming 8 days, then I'll have 2 days to pack up my bags and I will have to say Bye to Melbourne :(

I'm definitely gonna miss this place. Will miss walking along Swanston Street, miss walking to Woolworth, Coles for grocery shopping. Miss the free movies at night at Hoyts. Miss taking the tram to uni. Will miss every single thing about Melbourne!!!!! Melbourne feels like home :( I don't wanna leave this place.

I'm Back!

I'm finally back from all my trips. Gold Coast and Sydney. Both were awesome! There is just too much to blog about and too much pictures so I guess I wont be blogging much bout both my trips. Just post a few of our pictures :P

Gold Coast.

First day was Movie World.

We were so exhausted the first day so not much pictures taken. Hehe I sat the Scooby Doo Coaster and it was so cool! I went for it twice!!! :D

And also sat the Green Lantern Coaster which was scarier than Scooby Doo cause it went 360 degrees turn. So yea I prefer Scooby Doo. I was too scary cat to sit the Superman LOL.

Dinner after that at Yama Sakura.

Second day, Wet and Wild. The best day of our 4 days trip there. I totally enjoyed the 2nd day the most!!! Wet and Wild was sooooo empty cause it was winter so obviously no one wanna go for water park. Haha we just kept running up down up down, climbing up stairs to the slides. There was no queue at all!!! It was freaking fun lorr!!

I'm proud to say that I sat everything except the Aqua Loop (cause I was barely reaching the minimum weight required to sit that ride) and the other slide which I forgot the name cause it looked so steep :P

My favorite would be the Tornado. I went for it twice okie! So freaking cool! The adrenaline rush heheheh.

We were done with Wet n Wild in like 2 hours plus. Then we bathed got changed up head over to Movie World again. :P

Second night dinner at Kimchi House.

Then we went walking around Surfers Paradise.

Did stupid stuffs

Cute shirt that I saw :P

Third day, Sea World.

Overall, that place is one word, BORING. I just wanted to take picture with Mr Patrick. Oh my he is so freaking cute. I even bought a Patrick Shirt for darling and I forced him to wear it like almost everyday in Sydney so I could hug him everyday heheheheheheh ;P

Last day, went to the beach.

*Our couple tee :P*

Thats all for Gold Coast.

I just flew back from Sydney today morning. Came home died on the bed and when I woke up, I felt so sad that I couldnt see Hou :( I just got so used to him always being the first person I see when I open my eyes for the past 10 days.

He's not here to pamper me, to treat me like a princess. He's not here to wash my clothes for me, do my laundry for me. He's not here to tidy my stuffs for me. He's not here to blow dry my hair for me every night after I bath. He's not here to hold my hand. :(

12 more days till I get to see him again :(

For now, I'm going to enjoy the remaining time I have left in Melbourne.

Till then,
