Sad life of a PRP

Omg. Didn't realize that I abandon this blog for such a long time already until Hou reminded me that it has been a long time since I last updated my blog.

At the start of my PRP life, I wanted to blog more often, so that I will be able to read back a year from now and remind myself of how far I've went, and also for me to remember all the bittersweet memories in this hospital.

But I guess I failed miserably. Working life is tough! Not so easy, not so much time to blog anymore. Since starting in this new department (Therapeutic Drug Monitoring) 3 weeks ago, my life has been nothing but busy busy busy.

I usually do not get to go home on time. Not even once I've managed to leave work and punch my card out at 5 pm sharp. If I'm lucky I'll probably get to punch out by 5.30pm, most days its always 6pm or the latest I've tried was 8pm.

And by the time I get back home, done eating my dinner, I will be super exhausted that all I want to do this take a nap and after my nap, I wake up to bath, and study for my counseling assessment test before sleeping at 11pm. Super healthy lifestyle now sleeping so early every night. Seems like my body cant last longer than 11pm any longer. It's either I'm getting old or work has been really tough on me :(

At the beginning, during the first week at TDM, i HATED it. Hated it soo sooo much. I wish god would just kill me. I dread going to work everyday. It was so tiring, needing to go up to the wards at least 3 times a day, clerking cases, and dispatching results. And when I'm not at the wards, I'll be stuck in the small room, working my brain cells out, interpreting patients results and giving recommendation on what to do next.

But now, 3 weeks in, I can say that I finally mastered this department. I can now clerk 10 cases in an hour when previously it took me 1.5 hours for 4 cases? LOL. And I can interpret results and recommend new doses within minutes :P And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am beginning to like this department, obviously cause I've mastered it.

I only have 1 week left in this place before switching to a new department next month and the horror starts all over again!! New department, blur me, lots to learn from scratch again. Sigh life of a sad PRP.

On a bright side,  2 months in, 10 months to go.

10 months before I can call myself a fully registered pharmacist.

Been dreaming for that day since Day 1 that I stepped into this place =/

Will be back with more updates plus pictures when I have the time.

Ciaoz for now!

Mentally exhausted

Can't believe I started work for a month ONLY, it felt like a year already. Oh my, how am I going to get through this??!

But on the bright side, YAY to one month down, 11 more months to go. I can do this. Jia you jia you!!

Stress level is like almost reaching the maximum already. Sigh, life of working in the 3rd biggest hospital in Peninsular Malaysia.

Every weekday, all I look forward to are the weekends, because that's when Hou will be coming over. Yes the bf had been coming over every single week without fail. I know I'm too dependent on him, and yes I will slowly learn to adapt to my life here and not always ask him to come over when the weekends are here.

And this week will be the first weekend that he wont be coming here! Haha lets see what I will do then :P

Anyway, like I was saying, I love weekends because I get to see Hou, and we get our 'paktor' days back. :)

He usually comes on Friday, right after work, and our normal Friday night dinner dates would be the same, like what we've been doing for the past 3 years, no matter whether it's in Ipoh or Subang :)

This was 2 weeks ago dinner date :)

Our initial plan was to try our Sushi Zento, which is the same restaurant as Edo Ichi, in First Subang Mall in ss15. Then while we were parking our car, we stumbled upon this Korean restaurant which was 'Uncle Jang' lookalike, and darling was craving for Uncle Jang since the week before so we randomly changed our plans on the spot and walked in to this restaurant instead.

It was good!! As good as Uncle Jang, and the plus point was it wasn't as spicy as Uncle Jang until it gets torturing. The level of spiciness was just right!!
Will definitely come back for more. And it's so near my house only!! Like 3 minutes away by car. I'm lucky to be staying in such a convenient area k.

3 petrol stations outside my house. Giant, Tesco and Aeon, all 5 minutes drive away. And lots of awesome food like 5 minutes drive away also!!

After dinner, we randomly passed by Haagen Dazs shop and I said 'why you never bring me eat expensive ice cream before one? I so sad, no one cheng me eat Haagen Dazs before :('

And so the next minute, Hou was parking his car and saying 'come lets go eat Haagen Dazs'. HEHE ;D

Me is a happy girl :D

At first I wanted to choose 2 scoops of ice cream only, then I stood there so long, looking at all the flavors, cannot make up my mind, so the bf being so generous, asked me to take the 6 scoops one, so that I can choose whatever flavor I want. YIPPPIE YAY!!!! Thank you darling :D So much for trying to save money hahahaha.

And so I chose salted caramel (duh, my favorite of all!!), green tea, tiramisu, cookies and cream, mango sorbet and macadamia nuts.

My first love with Haagen Dazs hehe :D

Called it a night after that. Headed home cause I was working the next day. Yes sad life I have ok, working on a Saturday. Thank god I only start work at 1pm, so it isnt so bad la..

Next morning, we had late brunch at my favorite Dim sum shop. My colleagues brought me here earlier and I super love the dim sum there. So much better than the 'already so famous and sucky Foh San'.

Haha so definitely had to bring Hou to try la!! And he also said it was good!! Super lovee!!

*We ordered more than these, but because I was rushing to work, I stopped taking pictures of the others :P*

Sunday lunch was none other than the Famous Ipoh Nga Choi Gai!

Honestly, I feel that the standard dropped super alot!! Like it used to be nice, but the last 2 times that I ate it, it was totally 'nothing to shout about'. But since Hou was craving for it like crazy, so ok fine, teman him eat.

Chose Lou Wong over Onn Kee because the last one I had was Onn Kee and it was quite bad.

One thing for sure, I super love their Nga Choi! So fat and juicy!!

Btw, that day, the chicken wasn't so bad. In fact, it was quite good. So yeah, I guess I see myself returning some other time if I'm craving for it!!

Last week, to celebrate my '1 month of working', we decided to have a good dinner since it had been such a LONG time since I last took the effort to put on makeup and dress up. Hehe

I did the research on where to eat as usual, and Hou was the driver plus the 'bill-payer'. Haha can't find the correct word to use :P

I was craving for good steaks, so I just randomly googled 'Best steak in Ipoh'. And voila, only one restaurant kept popping up!! And good news is.....................................

Jeng jeng jeng.... They have a branch in Damansara!!! And both reviews, the ipoh and damansara ones are damn good. So definitely I had to try it out for myself, since the Ipoh branch is the 'original one'. LOL

Name of the restaurant: Maria's Steakhouse :)

*OOTD*

 *Oxtail soup*
RM19.90 for this small bowl
My first time trying oxtail soup and it was so good! The meat was soooo tender that it just comes off the bone so easily with each bite.

At first, I didn't want to try oxtail soup cause darling kept lying to me and saying that oxtail is actually the dick of a cow. Yeah, I believed that. I believe everything anyone tells me one lor :(
So I was like wtf no way im eating it.

Then when I was researching bout this restaurant, everyone was saying how awesome the oxtail soup was. So I decided to google 'define oxtail' and turns out its the meat from the tail of a cow. I was like wtf?! How did I even believe that its the dick when the word TAIL is clearly there. LOL LOL I feel so stupid now ahahaha

Ok enough of my oxtail story haha. Getting carried away.

*Hou ordered their Chicken Parmigiana*

And me me me, I got to eat my steak!! Australian Black Angus Steak, priced at rm48/100gram.

And our steak cost us rm99!! Wtf so small but it was sooooo SOOO sooo sooo sooo good. Ok definitely one of the best steak I've ever eaten. Cause not like I always eat steak la, so haha yeah. Go and try and judge for yourself!

*Cooked perfectly medium* :D YUMS YUMS

 *US* :)

*Ending our wonderful meal with Carrot Walnut Cake. Soooo goood!!*
Thanks for the awesome dinner darling!!! Sorry for making you even more broke haha. But promise promise, we will be back for the Wagyu!! And the next time, it will be MY treat! My first pay, I will splurge it on you hehehehe :P

Next stop after dinner was my ALL TIME FAVORITE!! Cant believe I found it here, so far away from Subang. Oh my, I almost cried tears of joy when I spotted it for the first time :P

*YES, ITS GONGCHA, IN IPOH OHMYGOD*
Hehe, everyone knows I super love gongcha!! Its like a must to drink every week. Whenever we are in Subang and when we go yamcha with the guys, and they cant decide where to go, then I will quickly suggest Gongcha! HAHAHA. Even they can read me inside out knowing that I will definitely choose Gongcha :P

Went strolling around Kinta Waterfront, to see the pretty lights after having our small yamcha session in Gongcha.

*So pwetty horrrrr :D*

It was a good night. Feels good to be able to do what we usually do every Friday nights, even when we're so far away from Subang. Everything just feels the same, nothing changed, and I love it :)

Darling stayed on till Tuesday and so we had more food adventures together. Hehe sooo happy that I managed to persuade him to stay longer and take a day off work :P

I was working on Monday, and the best bf in the world woke up at 7am despite having slept at 4.30am only, to send me to work. Awww felt so hang fook :))))

And all the time during work, I was waiting and waiting for lunch time to come because the bf was coming over to have lunch with me!! Hehee first time, someone waiting to pick me up for lunch. So happy!!

You see, I told him, I'm very easily satisfied, Just small stuffs like these can make me super duper happy!!! :DD

And after lunch, he dropped me off at work, and took my car for a wash :D Where to find this kind of bf???!

And after work, someone to pick me up for dinner :)

I just wished he can stay here with me forever :( Then life would be perfect sigh....

Dinner at a restaurant near my house.

*Their signature Curry Assam Cod Fish*

*Salted Egg Chicken*

*Paku-pakis Thai Style*

Super love all the dishes and we will definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu!!!

Since Tuesday was a public holiday, and I did not need to work, we had the whole day to ourselves wheeee :D

For lunch, Hou took me to the so called 'famous' Yong Tau Foo.

But seriously, nahhhhh, totally not up to my standards. I'll just stick to Puchong YTF.

*My favorite Ai Gua and it failed to impress me. :(*

Right after lunch, we went for yamcha! Literally drink tea :P

Its called 'Somethings Brewing' cafe.

And they have a HUGE selection of teas!! Like so soooo many!!

*Ordered the Chocolate Chai and Peach White Tea*
Rm8.90 per pot
Unique taste I would say, price also reasonable.

But but I bu shuang one thing is, they didnt allow me to sit on the couch seats when I requested because apparently thats for 'bigger groups', while there were only 2 of us.

Hello!! If the place is busy and full, then ok la fine I understand. But that time it was SUPER empty, like only one table was occupied. Practically empty except for one customer, so why cant we take the couch seats??!! GRRRR ANGRY!!

So will I be coming back for more? Not for the time being, but maybe when I crave some unique tea. But most of the time, I only crave for coffee, not tea hahaha.

Anyway, after yamcha, it was time to bid goodbye to Hou. So so sad :( And I cant see him this weekend too, cause its stupid to just go home for 2 days and appear in Ipoh again. So ya lets see what I will do for this weekend :)

For now, ciaoz

Life away from home

Harlow people.

Work has finally started for me and that is why I have NO TIME at all to blog.

And Ipoh will be my home for a year. Please be good to me. I know this one year will not pass quickly, or should I say it won't be an easy year for me, but I hope I am determined and strong enough to go through this year and finally be a fully registered pharmacist!! Thats my aim for now!!

Can't wait for that day to come sigh. And it has only been 2 weeks. And I just started my on calls. God, its damn tiring to reach home at 10pm at night and still must get out of bed to be at work at 8.30 the next morning k :(

Anyway, I finally settled down into my new room :) Kind of love my room. Small but cozy, and with my own attached bathroom.

My daddy is the most awesome dad in the whole world!! He came here with me and stayed on for a week, helping me to get a room and also, cleaning and scrubbing my whole entire room until it was clean while I was at work. Awwww I love him super much :)

And also darling came during the weekends. The minute he entered my room, he took a quick look around and told me, 'lets go get some furnitures for your room.' He had everything planned out for me. From whatever he 'thinks' I need, till measuring all the spaces in my room to make sure the furniture he was going to get me will fit in perfectly.

And after 2 days of hardwork, rm150 spent on a bookshelf and 2 drawers, I can finally say my room is complete :) Thanks so much Hou! For spending so much money on me =/

Now, picturesss ~

*My queen bed, mini dressing table and set of drawers*

*Love my bed so much. Feels so like home cause everything is brought from my own house! Bedsheets, pillows, blanket and my beloved pooh pooh! :D*

*Study area and bookshelf*

*Wardrobe, another set of drawers*

And my super duper mini toilet. I ain't complaining because its not easy to find an attached bathroom in this old town!! So yeah, as long as its for me to use ONLY, then I'm fine with it being small.

Anyway, back to before I left for Ipoh.

Hou and I had a super duper random one night trip to Melaka solely as a food trip!! We've been saying that we wanted to go for ages but just couldn't find the time to go so yeah before I left, we just decided to head to Melaka.

All we did was eat and eat and eat and eat. Hehe.

Hou managed to get a decent hotel room in a short period of time at a reasonable price too!

We left KL at 7pm right after Hou was done with work and arrived at Melaka at about 8.30pm, right in time for our dinner reservation at a Nyonya Restaurant. I've read many good reviews about this place being the best restaurant that serves Nyonya food, so we definitely had to give it a try.

And the verdict: Damn awesome. Totally DID NOT disappoint our high expectations!!

Amy's Heritage Nyonya Cuisine. Be sure to make reservations before heading there because they DO NOT serve walk in customers.

*Assam Fish*

*Sayur Lemak*

 *Ayam Pongteh*
 *Our meal for two :)*

I personally loved their Ayam Pongteh and the Sayur Lemak!! Theres a lot of other dishes that I really wanted to try which people raved about but it was sold out by the time we were there. Sigh, definitely WILL go back to try the remaining dishes!!

And another plus point is, the owner of the restaurant, Amy, is super friendly and nice!! We were the LAST customer and we were quite late for our reservation but she served us properly nonetheless.

After we were done with dinner, we headed to our hotel to check in. The room was just okay. I guess what you pay for is what you get. So no complains. It was clean, so I'm good with that.

Washed up a little, and 10 minutes later, we headed back out for supper.

This time, for Melaka's famous Satay Celup @ Ban Lee Siang.

Its seriously SOOO MUCH better to come late at night because then we will not need to queue up for a table. I hate queuing up for food okay!! :(

*Only this tray for the 2 of us because we were filled from dinner earlier hehe*

Just wanted to have a try of the famous Satay Celup because no one goes to Melaka without trying this!!!

Called it a night after that, we drove around the empty town, looking at night lights and finally headed back to our hotel.

Chilled, kacau each other etc until we were tired and we dropped dead on the bed.

Next morning, we set our alarm at 7.30am because buffet breakfast was included in our room. Haha I've read online that their breakfast sucks but since we already paid for it, die also must go down bite a few stuffs right? :P

We were done with breakfast in half and hour and headed back to our room to continue our sleep :D Hou bargained for a later check out time since we checked in soooo super late the night before and so we had until 1 pm.

After checking out, the food hunt began.

 First stop, Donald & Lily.

*Nyonya Laksa*

*Ayam Pongteh*
definitely Amy's Heritage one was better

*Chendol with gula melaka*
Seriously the BEST chendol I've eaten ever!!! I now conclude that Donald & Lily's chendol are the best. The rest of the food was just meh. So if I were to come back to this place, definitely for the chendol!!

Btw, the one at Jonker 88 sucks. Do not even try their chendol. Seriously tasted so bad we didn't even finish that one bowl that we ordered to share among us two.

Next, was Nadeje for their famous Mille Crepe.

*Rum and Raisin*
Ordered one to share and it was soooo good. Haha yeah I know PJ has an outlet already but I was just craving for it that day and we had nothing to do at that time, while waiting for the morning food to digest so we can stuff in more.

We took freaking 1 hour to locate the shop. Thanks to the 'smart' Hou, who insisted he knew where it was and ended up bringing me to walk like an hour, crossing big fields, walk round and round and he still insisted it was the right place before he finally decided to ask someone -.-

Next was one of our most missed food!! None other than pork satay @ Kedai Satay Xiang Ji.

Seriously the best best best!! Just had that ooomphh feeling with the first bite. We ordered 15 sticks at first and after finishing that, we decided that it was too good so we ordered another 10. HAHAAHA

Went jalan jalan around Jonker street and I wasn't feeling too well after that. Was down with a bad headache so we decided to head back to KL.

But first, we stopped by to tapao the famous Klebang Coconut Shake. Hou went down to queue while I get princess treatment and waited in the car with the aircond full blast hehe. And when he finally came back with it, i took a few sips and felt really unwell that I slept the whole journey back. So sad, wasted his effort of queuing up to get me the drink. Sowieee darling :O

That was the end of our random short trip to Melaka. Less than 24 hours haha.

**********************************

The weekend before I left for Ipoh, darling took me out for my long awaited Japanese buffet @ Umaiya, Puchong. I remembered the last time I ate there, it was quite good so yeah I wanted to try it again since I've not eaten it in like 4 years!!

It was RM58 ++ / pax and total bill came up to  RM134. Kind of expensive and honestly, I felt the food was just okay. So yeah, time to find another japanese buffet restaurant which is up to my standard!!

*Started off with dragon maki. Because I LOVE eel super much!!*

 *Smoked duck salad, yummy too!!*

 *Chicken Teppanyaki*

*Beef Negi*
One of my favorites that day

*Baby Octopus*
This was horrible. So so bad that I couldn't finish this small plate

*Chawan Mushi*

*Tuna Salad Sushi*
*And finally salmon sashimi and maguro sashimi*
It was good, but not as good as the ones at Senjyu!!
Hehe we had like 18 pieces of salmon sashimi muahahahaha

*Saba Shioyaki, and Yakitori*

*Sukiyaki Beef*
Urghh after having Sukiyaki at Suki-ya, my standard of sukiyaki has gone way up and so this big bowl of sukiyaki sucks so bad. Just go over to Suki-ya for their buffet and I swear its one of the best beef and lamb slices you can ever get!!

*Age Dashi Tofu*

*Salmon Mayo Maki*
This was good too!
So there were some hits and misses, but for me, definitely not worth the price. I guess I have to start finding for another japanese buffet soon to satisfy my cravings hehe.

Thats all for now. Will be back to update soon I promise, when I'm not on call :(

Anyway on a random note,

I freaking LOVE my XiaoMi powerbank!!!!!

THIS THING, has now become the most important thing that I will NOT leave my house without. Seriously, I will never ever need to worry about my hp not being charged full the night before and fear of it running out of battery by mid day.

This powerful thing, is able to charge my hp full 5 times!! And it charges it FAST!! Like in 1.5 hours to full battery!!

At first, I didnt know what was the craze about. I've seen many of my friends posting about this Xiao Mi powerbank thing and seeing how its so cheap, at only rm36 and how you have to be super duper fast enough to own one, because like 10000units get sold out in 1minute??! Like wtf damn crazy lor. 1 minute how to fill in all your details, address etc.

So yeah I was curious one day, and I decided to ask YK about it.

Mun: Eh what is this Xiao Mi thing everyone crazy about ah??
YK: Nah show you. Very good and cheap *He already had one for himself*
Mun: Oh really ah? So good??

As usual, me went back and did some research online and found out that its really a good powerbank. So the next day I texted YK:

Mun: Eh I wan Xiao Mi. Give me.

Just one sentence, the next day, it was delivered personally to me, straight into my hands. Awww I am one lucky girl!! Hehe.. while everyone else was fighting for it online, and unable to get it even after trying multiple times, I got it just with one sentence.

Thanks so much YK!!! You are one awesome friend!! Haha I feel so pampered :P

Ok thats all for now.
Bye!!
