Summary of 2012

2012 had been a great year for me. It was probably the best year among my whole 22 years of life. It was a year full of new challenges, new experiences and fun. There was only one down/bad part of my life.

2 life changing events of 2012:

  • The largest and most significant event of 2012 was no doubt me leaving to New Zealand to pursue my studies. It was my dream to ever study abroad. I do not regret leaving but me leaving led me to a level of different thinking. I grew up i guess. I got more independent, learning to do everything and surviving on my own. I got more patient and calm too i guess. Especially when it comes to me being back home. I learned that i have limited time with my loved ones back home n so, i really appreciate every single opportunity to be happy and to appreciate the time spent with all. This is probably why some people said i do not get aggravated that easily anymore. Having spent half a year abroad, i learned that home is always the best despite the issues going around the country. As much as a foreign country can offer, nothing beats home. Nothing feels more familiar, loved, happy and contented as home. I wouldnt be surprise if i choose to come back to Malaysia at the end of my degree, all to be closer to home, to my loved ones, and the land i was born and raised.
  • Next is the sudden change in my relationship. It was unexpected for me and for all to know that i hop into a new relationship so quickly and so suddenly. There was guilt in me, but i know that i cannot let go of this rare chance of me being with him. It of course was a huge decision to be made. Single, or to be with him but to be involved in a LDR. My decision was obvious. However, LDR sucks. It really is a big challenge for us. 20% of this LDR done, and i have 80% more to deal with. It is never going to be easy and it is just going to be tougher. But im sure we will be able to do it, as long as none of us give up on each other.
Trips:
  • 3x Penang as a tourist. Life gotta be awesome.
  • Lost World of Tambun
  • Janda Baik
  • Genting
  • Melaka
  • Singapore twice
  • Pangkor
  • Seremban twice
  • New Zealand (duh)
  • Queenstown
  • Auckland (counted i guess, although it was just a night)
Activities:
  • Paintball for the 1st time
  • Rock climbing for the 1st time and went back again
  • Bukit Tabur again and again and still loving it
  • Hot spring
  • Clubbing for the 1st time of my life. And clubbed twice in penang.
  • Sunway Lagoon (kinda counted)
  • 1st time skiing

It was also the 1st year of me doing nothing for Xmas and New Year, not even on the eves. I spend like 15 mins at Curve, just to watch the fireworks and thats all. It was also the year of me spending MOST money besides my education. Bought new perfume, specs, bag, clothes, macbook, camera, iPad and shoes. It is time to stop. N now, im even thinking of buying the new iphone or not. i wanted to get it cus i know my phone might not last till end of 2013. but now, maybe i should just use until its dead before i get a new phone.

I have only 3 resolutions for 2011 and i hope i will stick to it!

  1. To appreciate the things i get, be grateful and not to ask for more.
  2. To do well in my studies, much better than 2010 and not to repeat the same old mistakes.
  3. To do less shopping and i am gonna try my hardest best to stop shopping for uni clothes or new year clothes or whatever. i have been shopping too much and i think i have more than enough clothes. resolution no.1 remember! appreciate and not ask for more! so dont ask me to go shopping please!!
k make it 4 resolutions cus the 4th will be

SAVE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My resolutions last year. I think i kinda achieved No.2 only! hahaha... and No.1 la. i am definitely grateful and appreciative but im not too sure bout asking for more. so this year, im just gonna keep it simple.

To be grateful, appreciate everything i have in life, appreciate my family and him and to get good results.

I think i should be able to do this. haha..

So, 2012 was actually SO DAMN GOOD to me. i hope 2013 will be good too. with more new experiences, more memories and more trips perhaps? haha. but there is one thing that i dread. The day of me leaving again. The pain, the wait. SOOOOO painful =( and the time difference just make everything much worse.

till then, hope all had a great 2012 and a better 2013. Lets work harder to achieve all the good in life.
