Summer Break Msia part 1

Oh hi people... its been... slightly more than a month since i got back. and i am enjoying every SINGLE moment back home. haha. its funny how i wanted to go overseas sooooo badly and now, i wanna come home so badly. i do not regret going overseas although new zealand still isnt the best of choice for me. but now, i finally understood that HOME is the BEST..

k anyway, its been so long that i kinda forgot wtv that happened. guess im aging a little too fast. ahaha.. anyway, just a short update bout the happenings these days. before i forget, i have turned over a new leaf since i got back. haha.. i rarely took photos, too lazy to do so. and so dont expect me to blog a detailed post cus i really dont rmb anything.

before that, 2 photos from NZ. we were SOOOOO bored so we went to the harbour nearby (which has nothing obviously). we only went there so that we can kill more time by walking around. lol. n yes photo of my face =p

then one day we went to botanical garden. walked all the way there and yes, to kill time too. since we walked all the way there, we cant return without jump shot right =p

right after i got back, i went for a haircut. i got all cheapo and decided to chop 7 inches of my hair off. i initially wanted to just trim it but it was the same price to trim n to cut so i cut my hair away and right after it, i regretted. missing my long hair so badly now =( i took like 1.5 years for it to grow to that length and it got chopped off in just 5 seconds =(

1 week later, singapore with the parents. 3 days of just food and shopping and i got bored of SG. haha. everything there's so expensive. be it food or transport. n yes, it was the 1st time of me spending so much in SG. $54 just on brunch. can u believe it? tried out WILD HONEY. i kinda like it as i really love breakfast kind of meal. but nope, never stepping foot into that place anymore.

*pancake of the day and some norwegian breakfast*

i know i've been going out everyday, i know i have something to do everyday, but now that i tried recalling, i really dont rmb anything. i dont know how 1 month passed by so quickly. anyway, back to the bits n pieces that i can barely recall.

1 week after SG, Thirst event it was. my 1st ever rave party? haha... the crowd, music, lights. awesome! hahaha. the only thing i hate bout it is my height. i was like shortest among all who went, and short among the ppl around. so yes, i had to stretch my neck and my back and constantly moving around just so that i could peep thru people's heads

*avicii - the best, needless to say*

owh, i went to Seremban too. haha.. for x-mas party organised by the imu classmates. we had our own version of amazing race. it was fun! we had to run around taking photos, videos, dance, carol and games. no regret going.

and pangkor was next. this is one out of 3 photos i took. told ya im lazy! i was sooooo lazy to bring my phone or camera around. i actually love holiday like this. sleep and swim and eat. that was all i did. lol. dont even need to take photos la. the only downside was it was cloudy when i was there. how can a beach me fun without  sun?? however it was still fun for me as the company matters the most =) oh n this ugly ikan bakar. it was sooooooo damn good.. the best ikan bakar i've had. so good that i went for it again the next day =p

i kinda pity my dad. haha.. cus ive spending so much of his money since i got back =p food and shopping!! but then again, i can only enjoy during this 3 months and when i go back to nz next year, i have to be alll thrifty and simple again =(

tried this artisan coffee. after trying all the different kinds of coffee, i think my personal favourite is cappuccino.. not too bitter and not too milky.

and also tried this THE DAILY GRIND. bro wanted gourmet burger. oh well since its gourmet, i ordered the best of all burgers. FOIE GRAS burger. awesomeeeeesee!!! n obviously right, it was the most expensive burger in the menu. my first n last time. lol

oh, the most productive day since i got back is none other than yesterday. conquered bukit tabur once again. so proud of myself. the last time i was there, i rested 3 times just to reach the 1st peak. n yesterday, i reached without resting at all. and i wasnt even panting that badly. i guess, all the gym in nz helped me. then it was banana leaf rice again. the fried chicken. so damn good.

last but not least, best christmas so far. all my presents!! hahahaha... i will TRY not to spend so much money from now on. promise. but just one more thing, let me buy a new coat 1st. haha.. oh and my phone ;p

i thank my parents for all of these. thanks for pampering me alll the time. for letting me come back although the air tic is so damn expensive. and for buying me everything i need/want. i love both of u sooooo much!! so i think i should come back more often to see u all too =p

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The Hill

 *Candlelight dinner @ The Hill*
p/s: please praise my photography skill :P

Had our monthly celebration yesterday and our initial plan was Jarrod and Rowlins at Bukit Damasara but it closed down!! And we didn't know until we reached there. So sad ok. I loved that place so so much :(

Thank god we had a back up plan, which was to go further up the road to a restaurant located on a hill, thus the name of the restaurant.

No pictures of us because the place has really really dim lightning (you know la, romantic ma). I seriously hate this kinda place lo with this kinda lighting. Its impossible to take nice photos!! Unless you're using a super pro camera la.

And also the bf has the worst photography skills ever. Like seriously, he makes me look super ugly in all the pictures that he takes, its either ugly or fat or blur pictures. So i gave up after awhile and decided to take pictures of the food ONLY.

And all the food pictures are also kinda blurry cause I had to use super slow shutter speed to make sure the picture is bright enough and I have a huge problem with shaky hands :(

*Sashimi Salad with Sesame Sauce- RM28*
It was good but I prefer the one at Sushi Zanmai.
Hou hates it because of  the raw fishes.

*The Green Monster- Juicy Lamb Patty with Potato Wedges with Green Goo (meaning the mint-based sauce) -RM28. This was super super awesome!! :D*

*The Hill Signature Pan Fried Salmon served with a side of sauteed spinach- RM38*
This was not too bad, but I felt that the fish was kind of dry in the middle part.

*And this is my fav of all!!*
Their winning cocktail 2011- Coco Nutz -RM28
Ingredients: Malibu, Rum, Condensed Milk, Fresh Coconut Juice, Coconut Cream
This was so so goood!! It tasted so unique. Hehe I practically drank the whole thing myself as Hou said 'he needs to drive' LOL. So he only took a few sips :P

*SS photo before leaving :P*
Because it has been way too long since I last dressed up!

*Outfit of the Night*

-------------------------------------------------------

And today morning, the sister came and woke me up and said 'wake up now and I will cook you breakfast'.

I looked at her, thought for awhile and said 'Liar...' and went back to sleep. LOL

And she said 'I'm serious!'

Gave her my deep thought look and said 'cheh you go out tapau wan...'

And she said 'No, I'm really cooking'

I said  'Ok let me sleep another 20minutes laaaa'

Hehe and guess what breakfast she made for me??

*Sausages from Germany, Bacon with bits of melted cheese and Fried egg*

Why is my sister so nice ? LOL

Holidays

 Beware- Jumbled up post below.

First happy news - I am going to JB!! Yippie Yay yay!!! My friend decided to swap places with me :) But the bad thing about JB is the dress code. I heard that our preceptor is super strict MALAY and so she insisted that we cant wear TIGHT pants or TIGHT blouse or skirt and we cant tuck in our shirts. Like wtf what stupid rule is that?? So it means that I have to dig my mum's closet for baggy auntie clothes and borrow some baju kurung from my cousin.

And in my previous blog post I was talking about my OSCE, which the last part went fairly well I guess. I remembered how I was shaking and my heart was beating so fast the whole entire time, being so gan cheong every time the bell rang to change to the next station, and we only had 20 minutes each station and I remembered how I kept looking at the clock and wondering why does 20 minutes go by so quickly. But thank god everything went as what I expected. Hopefully results would be good :)

After OSCE, we had our pharmacy Year End Party :)

*With the best lecturer of our pharmacy course :) Sadly she will be leaving us soon :(*

*Yeah I'm with Stupid :P*
Please excuse my tired, oily face. It was after a long day in uni right after OSCE exams

And after the party, I went for Round 2 with the KBU gang, which they were already waiting for me at Rock Cafe nearby to yamcha. I feel so loved :)) They purposely came all the way to Sunway to yamcha with me plus they had to wait for me for an hour.

Next morning, we attended Yune's graduation at Sunway Hotel.

*The KBU gang ;)*

 *Credits to Yik Kang*

*Then hou took me to Setia City Mall. My first time there. The main reason of going there is H&M shop but nothing caught my eye.* I'm more interested with shopping online recently :P Hehe

Then on Monday morning, I was out the whole day with the dear friend Cher. See I'm such a good friend! She just came back the night before and the next morning I was so nice to be her driver. We wanted to have Curry Wan Tan mee but it was closed so we changed to FSF Char Siew. Then took her to Tropicana Mall to get a new simcard then to Damansara Uptown for Gong Cha and for her to get her haircut before sending her home. It was a good day :)

And more lunch and dinner with Hou.

*Bak Kut Teh*

 *Our favorite Ikea Meatballs*

*And finally Tong Pak Fu!! Durian Snow Ice* It was the bomb!!!

And just yesterday, we had our inter-uni camp at Outbac Broga. It was organized by Segi Uni again and we Monash students gave our full support! There were so many of us Monash students that we took up one whole bus by ourselves :) Hehe

We have team spirit ok! When one decided to go, all will follow :)

And I'm gonna announce proudly that I went for Flying Fox. Awww I told hou bout it and he said 'I'm so proud of you :)))* Without peer pressure, I would never ever had done it. I was already hesitating for so damn long, before my friends persuaded me to go for it.

She said 'If you're not gonna do it now when you're young, then when are you gonna do it? Wait till you're old meh??! Come on Mun you can do it!! At least you can go around telling people that you did flying fox!!'

It was damn funny. I was already wearing all the head gear and safety ropes and I was about to climb up the super steep stairs up to the tower. When I placed my foot on the first step, I stood there and hesitated for at least 5 minutes. I just stood there and kept thinking whether I should carry on or not while my friend was yelling words of encouragement at me. And the instructor at the top was already getting annoyed with me because all of them had to wait for me. I don't know what got in to me, but I gave in and started climbing. I knew that when I'm up there, I will not have any choice any more but to carry on with the flying fox because thats the only way down.

When I was standing at the platform above and after the briefing, it was time to go down. The instructor said 'Do not slide down until I give you the green light.'  And so I just stood at the edge of the platform, looking down below me, seeing humans like ant size below, legs shaking, knowing that there's no turning back. And I kept asking the instructor 'can go already anot?' every 10 seconds. LOL i think she was getting really irritated with me. I kept asking that cause I know if I stand there any longer, I will definitely back out and refuse to jump so I better get it over and done with as soon as possible before I change my mind. And when she finally said 'ok go' I froze for awhile, took a deep breathe and walk off the platform. I didn't even close my eyes for a second!. Aahhhhh it was a good experience and I never ever regretted doing it! I'm so proud of myself to be able to gather the courage to walk off the platform into empty air :) To many of you, it might not be a big deal, but for me it was, cause I'm afraid of heights and i overcome my fear!! :D

After Broga, we came back to Segi at KD and Hou came and picked me up and took me out for dinner with my friends. Then after sending the rest home, we had Round 2 and Round 3 yamcha session with his friends. First was Canai at SS15 till 1am then we changed place to Sea Park for Nasi Lemak.

*Omg nasi lemak at 1.30am can die so fattening!!!!!*

Yamcha till 3 plus then we headed home, and when we reached his house, I totally K.O on the bed straight away. I had no energy left. All I heard was Hou turning on the water in the bathroom then nothing else. I slept like a dead person till the next morning, which I woke up cause my arm muscles were aching like gila due to the activities we did in broga...

Next morning was just staying in where Hou did his FYP and I was busy with my tvb drama. Then in the evening we went out to watch Twilight! Hehe I know rite kesian Hou had to teman me watch such girlie show. He almost fell asleep. I could see his bored face LOL . But the movie was so sweet so romantic awww <3 p="p">

Then at night, we had dinner with his family at Taman Megah. Hou had been telling me bout that place for damn long already. He kept saying that the food there is damn good damn good lol so i finally got to try yesterday. When Hou told me 'eat with my family', i was expecting his parents plus bro only. Manatau when we reached there, it was a table of 10 @@ Uncle aunties cousins. LOL no pictures of the food cause I was damn freaking paiseh k. So many people. Food was just okay only =/

And my friend finally uploaded my last 2 weeks of memories in Melbourne! With the good friends from Monash :) Love the pictures! I love her camera its so clear!!

I was the tour guide plus acting very tourist-y too even though I was already there for 6 months :P
Ahh memories. Melbourne, I will be back :)

20% done!

First part of OSCE -done :) I guess I did fairly well today. Hopefully the upcoming ones will be as good.

And I am so disappointed because my next placement will be at Hospital Putrajaya!!! Whyyyy did they give me Putrajaya :( I wanted JB so so so badly. Why am I always so unlucky!?? Ishh. Hopefully I'll be able to persuade my friend to trade places with me so that I can go to JB. Please let me go to JB can anot??!

Anyway I started instagram! Haha Cher and YK had been asking me to start it for a long time already but I was just too lazy, so yeah I signed up for it few months ago but never posted any picture. Till last week. I just decided I wanted to play Insta. So I told Cher to 'follow me' HAHAHA :p But currently I only have one picture la. Don't know what to post there also =/

*My first pic on Instagram*

I used to like Nandos alot cause of the reasonable price for 1/4 chicken with 2 side dishes. But the other day when we had it for dinner, we realized that they raised the price by rm2 so ok fine la its only rm2. Not only that, the size of the chicken was so so small and the portion of the side dish was much less compared to last time. And worst part was, when I asked for some dressing for my salad, they gave me Thousand Island sauce and in the bill, they charged me rm2 for it. Like wtf they didnt even told me that it was chargeable. When Hou paid the bill, I promised myself, I will never ever step into Nandos ever again. No more!!

And last Saturday, dear took me for awesome food all the way at Batu Caves. For some unknown reason, all the roads were jammed up so it took us more than an hour to reach! Haha everyone was busy enjoying themselves in the car with either the newspaper or tablet for games and me obviously sleeping but my poor darling had to drive while cursing all the way ahahahaha :P

Thank God the food was GOOD. I really really like it alot. So I guess it's worth all the trouble going there :P

Didnt snap any pictures on that day because everyone was already starving when we reached, so obviously even before I took our my camera, the food was all gone. So I took some pictures from another person's blog :)

Oh btw, name of this place is Restoran Pan Heong.

*This was the only picture that I snapped*
Wat Tan Hor. So freaking good!!!!

*Kao Yoke Mee Hoon*
My favorite among all!

Sang Yu (snake head fish) and Century Egg Porridge

Nam Yu (fermented bean curd) Pork

And also chicken wings. Price was rm15 per person. So freaking cheap okay considering the amount we ate. Hehe definitely will be back :)

Cher, bring you go makan when you're back ok! Plus I miss the Cheras pork thingy too!! Lets go makan!! :D

And Hou discovered a new game which he downloaded on my tablet and now I'm hooked on it!! Ishhh so irritating sometimes when I dont win but its freaking addictive!! Hehe
